Rizals daughter, Bria Coronas, has been distributing the bible in her native country of Argentina since her father was elected president last year.
The distribution has not yet been completed but has been set up at a local school.
The Baja Ringana school is run by Bria’s brother and former deputy governor Baja Margarita, and has received 1,000 copies so far, she told reporters.
The distribution of the bible is a tribute to Riza, who has been killed by the Taliban in Afghanistan, but also to his mother Bria, who died in 2014 at the age of 95.
Bria, an author of many books and a mother of seven, said her father had been very active in her education and she hoped to continue that.
She said the distribution of bible would also help promote peace in the country and bring Riza’s memory closer to people.
Riza, whose wife, actress Gabriela, was also a staunch supporter of his bid for the presidency, had been a fierce critic of President Rodrigo Duterte.
He was shot dead in a gunbattle on the night of May 3, 2018.
